Call for Tutorials

2021 IEEE International Conference on Big Data and Smart Computing (BigComp2021) will be held in Bangkok, Thailand  Jeju Island, Korea, January 12-20, 2021. Running annually since 2014, BigComp has attracted many participants, including the best talent in industry and academia and provided an international forum for exchanging ideas and information on current studies, challenges, research results, system developments, and practical experiences in these emerging fields. The conference will foster collaboration and bridge the academic-commercial gap in the database, artificial intelligence, network and big data communities.

 

We solicit proposals for half-day or full-day tutorials of lecture style short courses covering the state-of-the-art research, cutting-edge industry development and applications, and practical tools in the field of big data and smart computing. Each tutorial could be either half-day or full-day in length.

 

A tutorial proposal should consist of the following sections:

 

Title and Abstract

  1. The topic of the tutorial. Proposals must clearly identify the general topic for the tutorial, the potential target audience for the tutorial, and the background that is required of the audience.
  2. A detailed outline of the tutorial. Proposals should provide the scope of material to be covered and the depth to which it will be covered, and a list of the most important references that will be covered in the tutorial.
  3. Proposals should also indicate the preference between half-day or full-day.
  4. A brief resume of the presenter, which should include: Name and affiliation, E-mail address, Short Biography of Speaker(s), Background in the tutorial area, Previous Tutorials by Speaker(s).
